Cruise, Cycle, Walk and Stay at Loch Katrine

For over 180 years, steamships have cruised on Loch Katrine. Join one of our daily cruises at the birthplace of Scottish tourism.

Loch Katrine is in the Trossachs, at the heart of Scotland, part of the Great Trossachs Forest National Nature Reserve and within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.

Trossachs Pier has cruises, a gift shop, eco-lodges, motorhome pitches, a cafe, and cycle hire. Stronachlachar Pier has a cafe and motorhome pitches with loch views.

Connect with nature and discover the rich history of Loch Katrine, which has been Glasgow's water supply since the 1859.

Steamship Sir Walter Scott

2023 saw the return of the Steamship Sir Walter Scott, back sailing again on Loch Katrine after a successful SOS - Save our Steamship Appeal. Thanks to public and grant support, £850,000 was invested in the restoration.
