Trossachs Pier Complex.
Trossachs Pier and the car park is accessible for visitors with mobility problems and is wheelchair friendly.
If you have a blue badge you are able to park directly outside the Booking Office (4 spaces) and Cycle Hire areas (3 spaces). There is then a short walk to either the booking office, shop or tearoom access areas. Facilities on-site can be used with ease, and a wheelchair or a small mobility scooter can be used in the gift shop and in the tearoom.
The tearoom is accessed via stairs or by the dedicated lift – the lift measures 2m x 1m and can take 3 including a wheelchair. Once inside there is access to the raised patio area and all abilities toilet.
The gift shop is accessed via the front door which is 93 cm wide.
The reception desk is 115 cm high at the front – 60 cm high at the side.
The booking office desk is 82.5 cm high.
There is also a reasonably flat paved road skirting the north shore of the loch that is suitable for all abilities. Whilst quiet, there will be a few cars and cyclists to look out for as well as a number of others out for a walk.
We also offer the use of wheelchairs on-site if visitors wish to borrow one free of charge, please just ask at the booking office to reserve as we only stock two.
The Steamship Sir Walter Scott.
Wheel chairs and mobility scooters can also be taken onboard the Steamship Sir Walter Scott (please mention this when booking so we can reduce capacity slightly on-board to allow for a chair/chairs). As it is a historic vessel space can sometimes be at a premium so if bringing a group please advise us in advance.
Access to the steamer is via the pier walk way (80 meters) and over the bridge to the vessel. A small ramp provides access to the ship itself – this is a little uneven so assistance is provided by the crew on duty.
Once on board access is easy to the upper deck only, with the forward cabin providing shelter on inclement days. This also contains a bar and all abilities toilet.
MV Lady of The Lake.
From the car park there are 2 steps down to the pier, which slopes at a slight angle. Access to this vessel can be tricky as there are 3 steps to a small flat area, a step over and 5 steps down into the vessel. If you are thinking about using this vessel do give us a call as we can give more information if required.
Baby Changing Areas
Theses are located in all of the all ability toilets on the complex and on each vessel.
Dogs are allowed on-site and on the vessels but should be kept on leads, and we have water bowls for dogs at various points around the site
