Spring/Summer Timetable

Daily timetable from 23/3/24 to 27/10/24

A 2-hour Steamship cruise from Trossachs Pier to Stronachlachar departs at 10.30 am and 2.30 pm. Take your bike on board (or hire one on-site) and cycle back along the 14-mile, smooth, quiet, lochside road. Departs Stronachlachar for Trossachs Pier at 11.30am & 3.30pm. 

A 1-hour circular Steamship cruise departs Trossachs Pier at 1 pm

45-minute circular cruises departing Trossachs Pier at 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 1.15 pm, 2.15 pm, 3.15 pm & 4.15 pm.  

Autumn/Winter Timetable

Daily timetable from 28/10/24 to 28/3/25*

One-hour sailings departing Trossachs Pier daily at 10.15 am, 11.30 am, 12.45 pm, 2 pm and 3.15 pm on either Lady of the Lake or Rob Roy III.

Note: Steamship Sir Walter Scott sails on selected dates in the winter months. Please call us for dates. 

During December, there are Sail with Santa events on Lady of the Lake, and on Jan 1st & 2nd, there are New Year Celebration Cruises on Steamship Sir Walter Scott. Click here to find out more about our events.

 FAQs about our Cruises

  • We have a variety of cruise sailings throughout the day, ranging from 45 min to 2 hours in duration. We also have charter options for private cruises at any time.

  • Please check our timetables, or book a forthcoming cruise.

  • We are delighted that the historic Steamship Sir Walter Scott Steamship is back after an extensive restoration and sails daily in the summer, and on select occasions in the winter.

  • There is an accessible toilet on the Steamship Sir Walter Scott, with two further ones downstairs. There is a toilet on Lady of the Lake but not on Rob Roy III.

  • Yes, there is on Steamship Sir Walter Scott, but not on the other boats. Please check our accessibility page for further information.

  • Bikes can be carried at a small surcharge on cruises between Trossachs Pier and Stronachlachar subject to availability, you must pre-book your ticket to be sure of travel.

  • For small groups, we have Osprey available for charters. The other bigger boats can also be chartered, subject to availability. Contact our booking office if you have any questions or want more information.

  • Cost £2 per dog, subject to availability. Note only Access Dogs are allowed into the front cabin of Steamship Sir Walter Scott.

  • Check our cruise options for sailings that stop at Stronachlachar. Purchase a Freedom Pass to return on a later boat to enjoy the lochside, including some pleasant walks and the Pier Café. Also, it is available for the reverse journey from Stronachlachar to Trossachs Pier.
