October: Callander Jazz and Blues Festival
The Callander Jazz and Blues Festival is Scotland’s largest rural event of its kind. In its 19th year, the 2025 festival runs from Thursday, 2nd to Sunday, 5th October, and features an impressive 66 gigs across 9 venues, with over 160 musicians performing a diverse range of genres, including swing, rock, pure jazz, and blues. We are pleased to be a sponsor of this excellent event.
A highlight of the festival takes place at Loch Katrine, with special cruises featuring great live music. On Saturday, 4th October at 2.30 pm, the Blues Cruise welcomes the George Lindsay Band. Then on Sunday, 5th October at 2.30pm, the Jazz Cruise brings a fresh vibe with Marianne McGregor.
Seasonal Sailings at Loch Katrine
Join us on Loch Katrine this festive season for a series of magical winter sailings. Our Spirit of Christmas Sailings, on selected dates in November and December, offer a warm and joyful experience aboard the Steamship Sir Walter Scott, with carol singers, mince pies, and mulled wine to get you into the festive spirit.
For families, our Sail with Santa cruises take place over the first three weekends in December, combining a scenic cruise with a buffet, a visit from Santa, and special gifts for children.
Start the new year in style with our New Year Celebration Cruises on 1st and 2nd January 2026. Raise a glass aboard the steamship as you enjoy a relaxing winter sail with complimentary drinks, shortbread, and live Scottish music to welcome the year ahead.
